kfx 700 or raptor 700 or ltr 450 0R.........
In a year im going for a new quad so i can establish credit for myself by making a payment.Im 17 and i want to establish it with out making a huge payment.I thought about putting 3,000 down. These are the top choices.I really have mind set on these. But in a year they will have more choices. But im just planning ahead (like to dream).I need to get a better paying job first. But whats your opinion on these quads pros and cons please.I already have a pratically new 2005 ds650x and im going to keep it.But in your opinion how will these compare to the ds.I ride trails, mudd, sand, water.Just about everything.I really use my ds for the dunes.I wont have money for changes so i need a good ready quad.I really need a quad for trails mostly. And something that could fling a little bit of mudd.Already have a utility (collesting dust).Any suggestion well apreciated.

If i was just trail riding i would get the kfx even tho its the heaviest not shifting would be very nice for trails. The raptor is prob faster on the trails and they both have reverse....the raptor would leave the kfx700 on more open country and dunes. I would get the raptor 700.

Mud too.I like keeping my ds clean.Im really liking the kfx.And the raptor.I like the look of a raptor 700 though.I wont be adding anything. So what i do get is what i got nothing EXTRA.Im thinking around 6800 or aroung there.Hopefully i coud find a raptor 700 in a year for around that. What about reliabilitie. Is the kfx proven? Is there any bugs known on the raptor 700.I like the rap for the efi.Im 220lbs and around 5'10".Will the raptor feel small?

I been thinking of trading my 05 for something. The problem is nothing compares to the DS imo. The raptor is cool and more advanced but that doesn't make if better. I've often consider trading for the KFX because in size it compares and has reverse. I'm hoping the Kaw makes it a sport 4 wheel drive. If this happens I'll trade.
For trail riding, stability is most important to me along with torque. Raptor would definately be faster.

I currently own a kfx700 and an 07 raptor 700. the kfx 700 is a great girls bike but will leave you wanting more the first time you come to a tall dune or race hill . the raptor will outrun the v force without a problem and rides smoother . I was just at glamis last week and raced lots of 450 suzukis and had no problem out running them with my raptor.I also really like the fuel injection on the raptor. I wouldnt even have to think about it. the 700 raptor is the way to go.

I would say for the type of riding that you want to do that a kfx would be the best bet unless they come out with a newer kfx type bike, or a renegade if you want to spend that much, but thats a lot to spend on a quad...I just got a 450r and I put 3k down and what I do is make sure I have some money on the side just incase I have trouble coming up with it for that month so it backs me up, but I try and pay around 500 each month so interest won't build up...I also put around 3500 down on it

I like that the kfx is the cheapest.I also thought about just getting a loan a buying a used quad since that would still establish credit and it would be ALOT CHEEPER.Whats your opinion in doing this?I think i could get a nice kfx for around 4,000.But this wont be for a year or so.So maybe a used raptor 700 by then.A outlaw for me feels way to wierd.I had the joice between that and my ds and i definetly picked my ds.I like the outlaws looks better though.
