how fast is a outlander 800???

The outy 800 standard model is faster than the 800XT, will wheelie easier, cause the XT pkg weighs 70#, a lot of it up front with the bigger tires, bumper and winch..
My 800XT peaked at 68 mph this summer, but it wasn't tuned well. I would say the XT's are between 68 and 75. When I bought mine the dealer told me 88 mph no problem. I was going to buy it anyway, why lie to me about it? Cause he's a dealer.

I am not sure but I never herd of a mph law for ATVs. I knew Minasota had a cc limit but BRP just changed there MSOs to read 799 now days and not 800. I think Non xt's can get into the upper 70mph, but not sure how much past that they can go. I would say 80 would take a pretty small rider to be in the saddle on a paved surface with lots of air in the tires. Top speed is really more relative to room and clutching / gearing, more than anything else. Well maybe room to test it helps too. lol

we found this out sitting still on the digital speedo on an frozen lake. hammered in high revlimiters were 81 and 76. doesnt have to be a difference in rider weight in this case.
