Hey, FatHolly, do you know how much the Stator is rated for on my '04 Outlander 400 Max XT?
I don't know I only have a DS... get a shop manual from ebay... they are only like $5, as someone earlier in this thread stated.

I'm sure you can have the stator rewound, but I couldn't tell you how much wattage they will be able to rewind it to. Can-Am over builds everything including the stator... I can't say the same for other brands. I doubt you will see anything close to the 240w, you just don't have the power in that 350cc machine to get crazy with the electric power, but you should be able to see some increase. Check out Ricky Stator, or you may have a local shop close to you.

Us Outy 800 guys (650's ?) have been talking about a spare battery or auxiliary booster box, something, cause there's no way to pull start the 800. I haven't checked what the manual says about jumping, but if you're out riding alone.......

The battery in the 800 is high quality, I wouldn't worry about it for a while, but something to think about. The hold down for the battery on the renegade is much better than the rubber strap on mine.

The Outy has a storage area in the back, mine's a year old now, so going to do something.

I have a big trunk sitting on the storage compartment, going to make that hard box a quick disconnect, haven't made up my mind how to do the battery thing yet.
