Maxx,
Well, I'm happy that you are content with the OEM brake set-up. Obviously not everyone feels the same way you do (i.e., the aftermarket company designed a brake kit to suit the needs of others who don't like the OEM brake set-up).
I would like to point out that Engineers who work for manufacturers have more than 1 goal in mind...not just to make the best possible product. They are also trying to make money for their company!!! That often means finding ways to save money in the production of the product (i.e., making 1 brake lever is cheaper than making 2). My point is that just b/c the engineers designed a product in a particular way, that does not necessarily mean its the absolute best way possible. Just my 2 cents.
Happy trails...

Maxx, got 2500 miles on the Outy, same brake setup, avg 15 mph, have been on some slow trails and steep hills. Haven't come to the hill that I have stopped on yet, your bike will climb like a goat, just like mine. In fact the manual says the quad will climb steeper than it will come down.
Stopped once to back down because of the quad and rider I was following, the brake is 60-40 rear-front, was able to back down ok, just did not like it one bit.
The engine braking system is the best in the business, bar none.
I've always had split brake handles before, didn't take me long to get used to this setup though.
