I picked up my new quad today. Took it for a ride in the snow this evening. I am really impressed. What a fun machine, lots of power and super comfortable to ride. The foot rests are SOLID, feels like you are standing on the ground.

Fine ride warthog. Did you get skid plates for it? I just got my MAX last weekend and I am thinking about getting the ricochet skid plates and a-arm protectors.Have also considered the polyethylene skid plates. Let me know what you have or what you plan on getting.Having trouble making up my mind.

I probably going with the ricochet skid plates. From what I have read the plastic ones dont hang up on the rocks, are lighter than aluminum, dont get bent up and are a cheaper price but I am not to sure about the fit.It seems like the ricochet ones have cut outs for the oil drain plugs. Here is a link where they are putting on the ricochet skid plates on a 800.Let me know what you find out on your research.Havent bought anything yet.

Sorry, left out the link. Here it is. Not sure if it is a link or not. You might have to cut and paste it.
