Hey fellas, after riding for a while today, my red oil pressure/high temp. light came on. After letting it cool completely down and restarting, the light was still on. I checked the oil level and it was slightly high, so drained a little oil out and started it back up and the light immediately went off. After cleaning everything up I restarted the engine and the light came back on. I bled the screw behind the oil filter several times with no luck. I then rode for a few minutes and the light went out, but came back on a few minutes later. Now the light is very very dim while running. I just pressure tested the oil pressure sensor and it seems to go out at 5-10 psi, but stays very very dim. Any ideas, bad sensor or truly low oil pressure?

That happened to mine when I bought it new. There are two oil check valves that can cause it. One with the filter I believe and one inside the crankcase. Unfortunately, on mine it was the oil check valve in the case that was stuck. The dealer had to tear down the motor to get to it and fix it. Get it checked out.
