jetting ds650 2005
I want to do the OMR stock carb mods, but I am not sure about the whole jetting thing. Any suggestions on what jets I might need to run with the mods done? Without airbox lid. I am riding at elevations around 2000ft. give or take 500 here and there.LOL DERN MOUNTAINS!!!. But most of my riding is at 1850ft. Mostly heavily wooded trails, gncc(woods/mx mix) and shredded hill climbs! The quad is pretty much stock except for the spark arrestor being cut off the exaust tip. I will be switching to a 15 tooth front sprocket and I am going to make a HPR style open end cap. I will also be running 23 fronts x 22 rears.[Maxxis Razrs] I am assuming 180 or 185 main, and don't have a clue about the pilot or the "air" (i think its called) jet? Also needle position...
Another thing I didn't quite understand...do I need to go with mikuni jets and a DJ needle? or just stay with the mikuni needle?
ACE has givin me a lot of great advice, just fishing for other opinions! And trying not to bug him so much!! thanks ACE!
Thanks People! Your the best!

Jungle if you run with the lid the 180-185 will be to rich in mi.I just moved to utah from aa.I think
the humidity makes it run way to rich. You can start there and work you way down the jets are not
to expensive.
As far as stock jets and DJ jets i really liked the throttle response of the dj needle.
When you get more familiar with your ds and get to know it deffinitly do omrs stock carb
mods they make a world of difference.
Good luck.
