I hear that! I am just running out of time! Of coarse I don't have the money to pay anyone anyway, so I am gonna have to do it! I like it, there is just so much crap and my wife can't stand me workin' on it when I could be doing something for her. LOL!!! Guess she just needs to get used to it!

My money is on a bad retctifier/regulator
Replaced mine a couple 3 or 4 weeks ago also. Exact same symptoms.
Even the manual says that when all electrical componets check out working fine. Even the rectifier. That you can and should conclude a faulty rectfier.
Got mine off ebay, procom for about 60 bucks I think.

Can you recharge your battery and get her to start? If not then the rectifier has taken out your new battery.

 

I don't have a charger, but i rolled it off twice that day and it started fine. I didn't get on it yesterday or today, so I might not be so lucky the next time I try to roll it off!

I checked the regulator for holes and/or things of that nature and everything looked fine. But, my money is still on it as well. I don't have a voltmeter yet, but I am gonna get one this weekend. So we will just have to see.

Also took my plugs out and snapped some pictures, as I am not really sure what they are supposed to look like, so I thought I might get some opions from the ppl. on here.

Well it is hard to tell in the pics, but it does look likt they may be pretty black on the tips. If they are as dark as I think they looked, you would be running pretty rich.

 

Hard to say for sure in the pics. But I would say a little rich possibly also. Mostly cause your runing a stock air filter and you uped the main from a stock 165 to a 175. Once you get a K&N on her you'll most likley be almost spot on.

I also was able to roll start my DS. I was even able to jump start her off of another quad (a raptor [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img] ) She would even run seemingly fine. But I knew from experience. That it was only a matter of time and that would not be the case. So until you get her figured out. Don't stray far from camp. And certainly not alone.

 

the sparkers look RUSTED!!! its orange- and not even a shiny orange- so its dry (were you running lean for a looooong time then)
