yeah it does have to be set a certain distance from the fly wheels but its not loose . its very secure so i cant see that being the problem .. and the damn 90$ repair manual doesnt say how far its saposed to be from the fly wheel

its a single with two spark plugs,,, and both spark plugs are not sparking . and the cdi is not the problem and all the wires are connected perfectly . all the grounds are good . theres no shorts anywhere ..and the fuses are still perfect, and the quad just turned off mid ride .. just died

ok single cpark plug coil or not if it is you know that some coils ground through one side of the coil through the spark plugs but im trying to think if it applies to a single cylinder

its single cylinder with two spark plug coils and two plugs . they both dont work . but when i turn the key they let out 1 single spark . so i think the plugs are ok .

is there a way to disconnect all the controls of the atv to the engine and see if maybe its not anything on the engine. it could be the atv itself. if you could somehow isolate the engine from the control circuit and then jump the soleniod manually to see if it has spark then. I just dont see why it would spark one time when you hit the key and one time when you let off. could be a bad key switch but i didnt read all the other comments on this topic s i dont know if you already tried that.

witch the stock cdi it doesnt let out that single spark . it only does that with the procom cdi . witch are knows for blowing engines. ive tryed 3 seperate cdi's . the stock one doesnt let out that spark . the second one woulndt stop sparking but that was a factory defect . now the third one lets out 1 single spark but its also a procom ... so the single spark is because the cdi is poorly made.
