also ive been stumped with this since last october and ive had mechanics look at it with no help . my father was a college profesor for electronics and hes also stumped . but we think its the pick up coil . but im low on funds right now so i wanna know for sure that thats the problem before i go spend the money on it .

well the resistence is fine . but the voltage is low . the pick up coil is saposed to be reading 0.7volts but its only reading 0.3 volts . thats why i think its that coil . cuz ive eliminated preaty much everything else electrical .

Hey Mitch101, I have the exact same problem. No spark, tested everything and when the key switch is turned on, one spark....and yes I just replaced the cdi with a Procom. It wouldn't spark at all with stock. You said it was the tach? Mine doesn't have a tach and it still acts exactly like yours. Your sure that's all you did? LOL this is kicking my butt and finally found a similar issue after spending hours searching! Any ideas?
