I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but they need to take this philosophy to the big bore DS... drop 100lbs off the 650 and bump up to 800cc's.

Oh my god, if it was still a clutch I would pay 10g's for it, if it was over 60 horse stock and weighed less than 400 pounds... <<<drool>>>

Wow, what else can i say that hasn't been said here. I personally will be picking one up. My first quad and only one I love to ride is ds650. Tough, durable, powerful and comfortable for my desert and sand needs. I have been wanting to pick up a 450 forever just to play around with and now I am glad I have waited. Now is the June 2nd date is when they will be available in stores or is it just for when the pictures will be released?

I just saw the frame vid. Did he say 20lbs-30lbs lighter????

I got to say its a revolutionary frame. If the rest of the quad is leap frogging, it will be a new standard for sure.

I keep saying that Can-Am was pulling no punches with this, that most people will be surprised as to what they actually created.

There's a spec sheet that said that the frame with pegs and grab bar was 36.9lbs. The next lightest was the KFX at 42.2 and the worst (Not named) was in at 56lbs!!!

If it's at least 20 lbs lighter, that would be a killer right there!

Next, front suspension!

Oh and on the black DS picture showing the frame, you could make out how compact the engine is going to be as well as like the KFX it has a wave rotor in the rear.

Oh and that frame is not comming apart. I've seen some of Jeremy Schell's frame handiwork!!

Being Light is good, having great suspension even better, but we get to wait till 06/-2 to find out whatpower plant it has, lots of people at the dealer ship are saying KTM??

I could be wrong, but I believe all the KTM dirt bike engine's have there sprocket on the left side of the engine. The DS450 is on the right side. So I don't think it will be a KTM engine. Unless it's a totally new one that we haven't seen yet. But I can't see them doing that when there more then capable of putting a Rotax in it.

No way they would go through all the trouble to create a state of the art quad only to put anoter manufacturer's powerplant in when they own Rotax....makes no sense at all!!!

They may be thinking of the Rotax built motor the BMW dirtbike has. Again that would be false as it's a left hand drive as well.
