I just bought a 07 DS650 and have about 4-5 hours on it.
I was at dumont this morning and after riding all morning it sputtered and died...no crank no nothing.
Would jump start but die when cables removed. And now take is all the way around at like 2 O'clock????
I checked voltage at battery when running...14.5 volts is accecptable??
I think the battery is a dead short.
Ive looked through a couple of threads on here and see alot battery problems?
I'm taking it to the dealer in the morning to have them fix it.

Almost sounds like a loose connection somewhere.

hey bert......cheese here from DDR...aceisback is on here too.

sorry to hear about your battery...sucks that it was the only thing preventing you from riding all day.

anyway. def go with the odyssey battery. I have had mine on my bike for right @ 4 yrs now, with no problems to speak with. I did buy a stocker first, and it lasted all of about 2 months in my garage in the heat of bakersfield.......

Hey how you doing.I remember that.
This is what I have heard.I asked the general manager this morning if he would apply the cost of a stock battery towards the price of a Odyssey. He told me he would but he has seen alot of them fail also??
So he left it up to me...I will just try a stocker again.
The tech told me that when they PDI these things they dont use the factory battery??WTF
He told me that they pull one off the shelf(which explains the cheap Moto Power in it)
We will see how long this one lasts

good luck with that one....i know aceisback has had a couple failures with his odyssey, but from what i remember, after communicating with the company, they replaced it, and he has had no other problems with it..

maybe he will jump in here........

I loved it.I had 21/12/10 8 paddle Edges on it on 10x10 Hiper dual beadlocks.

I like my Raptor alot but I think I might end up liking this bike more.
What do you run for tires?
