The Outlaw 525 Vs, Raptor 700 and it is a toss up. But this is all going to change once the KTM 525 is out 40 Lbs lighter than both the Outlaw and Raptor you will have a new king. Will I sell my Outlaw no, I love the ride and I like to ride all day</end quote></div>
it's out. I have the 525.

i have that atv rider
at stock i never lost to a outlaw i did tie once atm with my only prob is yfz450 and banshees modded out. i still think its funny kfx450's are praised in mag's yet are pretty slow stock trim
a raptor to me is more of a quick trail bike. (ive even lost my a arms on a tree going alittle to fast)but yes that irs will be best for rocks
there is a trick to drag racing with a raptor... bigger motor is more torque shift at lower rpms, high revs it seems to die off. 1st is gear VERY low and youll spin to 3rd. i start in 2nd (hug tank) half rev youll leap out 2-3 links hardest thing is keeping it down in 3rd. of course this might of been why i shattered my 3rd gear in my tranny.

I'd take the Raptor 700r SE...... Superior suspension and even if it's a tick slower than the Outlaw, a good rider can make up for a lot.
I love people who say their quad spanks everything all the time.... Well on the trails or a track it is all about the rider. I don't care how fast your quad is, how many rocks there are, how much clearance you have, or how many mods you have.......you put Doug Gust or Chris Borich on a stock 450 and there is not one bragger on this forum that would see him after the first three turns.

Thats great, but what does that have to do with the original question of this thread...

The original question was "what would keep up with an Outlaw on the trails" ....
How can you not see the connection? As I said, and you seemingly did not comprehend, is that it has more to do with the RIDER and less to do with what MACHINE will keep up.
