Default noise coming from tranny in neutral

its like the tranny engages when it is revved up a bit and neutral, and goes ksshhh when it turns off, the same sound as when you push the quad when it is in gear and not running

any suggestions? could i be low on transmission oil?, my engine oil level is fine though

Your engine oil and tranny oil are one in the same. As for the noise or drag in the tranny I have seen this in a bad clutch adjustment or running a aftermarket race clutch and not running a good oil or out of adjustment and I have seen this with a bent shifting fork. Hope this helps you some.

remember, its a ds250, not 650.... and i saw the dealer change the gearbox oil at the break-iin checkup, without changing the engine oil, because i already did that myself
