Renegade 800 Questions
I haven't purchased yet, but the more I've been thinking I will probably end up with the gade and keep my Honda when I need racks and what not. The Honda has been as reliable as they come. It has had its share of oil changes and that's it. It still runs like a top and has more than enough power for the boss lady to trail ride on. Besides ... I will always have a back-up around should I need it.
In regards to what I will use it for, I would put the the use into the following classifications:
1. Trail riding out behind our place on the ~10 miles of trails that are available for now.
2. Riding in the few ATV parks where it is legal to ride in Iowa. (I hate our lawmakers, but that's for another section of the forum for discussion Iowa OHV Changes)
3. Hunting
4. Fishing (all year round ... primarily during the winter for me)
5. Harescramble races (potentially) in the utility class
Within those various areas I will most likely see water, rocks, mud, and general conditions that don't get to the extremes like most people.

I concur ... the rack is pretty decent looking and is more what I was planning on building for a rack. I might have/will raise it a bit higher above the plastic to ensure it doesn't rub and allows for more just a bit more space, but it does look pretty sweet. Looks like some really nice craftsmanship there.

Renegade 800 Questions
Time for the King Quad to go down the road and I am looking into getting a Renegade. I have 1 question on the braking. I see they have two levers on the handelbars for the 2008 models. Does anyone no if the left one is the ALL BRAKE or did they do away with that and left being back and right being front which is the #1 thing I hate about the king quad the back brakes or useless they lock up to easy so I am using front brake 90% time and I have smaller hands pain in the butt to use throttle hand for breaking

This is the new Renegade X, which was officially announced today. The looks are love/hate for me, but it does have better shocks and an aluminum skid plate. $10.2K for the bike.
