Default Wheel Spacers

so, was told i needed wheel spacers for my 07 800 outlander xt if i upgrade my tires and keep the stock rims.....
now, i can get spacers for $130.00 no problem
but i was told that i could just use like 3 washers and it would do the same thing
has anyone done this???
i was only thinking about putting on 27 inch XTR ITP

Default Wheel Spacers

If you are talking about washers on the wheel stud between the hub and wheel that would be bad news.... you need a solid contact between the hub and wheel. The wheel studs will sheer right off with a gap like that.

Default Wheel Spacers

I've purchased wheel spacers for my daughter's ATV and essentially they are machined bolts on one side and nut on the other. They were 1.5" spacers for a total of 3" extra space. Picked it up on ebay for under $20. Not sure if those will work for you. I know that you can also get full plate spacers but they run about $130.
