ds 650

hey just bought a 2007 ds650 wanted to know what actual hope power is ? also what should be the first go fast mod. to install ? also why is the rev limiter set so low compared to other sport atv...

airfilter and maybe airbox modifications, pipe, cdi box to fix the rev limiter, ported intake, higher compression piston, diff gearing, loose some weight such as skids front fenders, hand guards. Ds's get pretty good numbers and can up with pretty much everything else who has the same mods.

The first accessory should probably be a Banshee. LOL
Actually, I have a DS and ended up buying a Banshee to go fast because it is so ridiculously expensive to hop up a DS to run.</end quote></div>
DON'T YOU HAVE A YAMACRAP TO GO WORK ON?
anyway. start with a K and n filter and run with the lid off, with a pipe....you can get a billet endcap that produces the same amount of hp that a full big gun pipe would..so you can do that
also. look up OMR carb mods...and do all those mods to your carb....then make sure you rejet your bike.
good luck

Definitely do the OMR mods. They're FREE! And like everyone else said, filter/end cap/air box lid/sprockets/weight, weight, and more weight.
Keep us posted on the progress and your results of each mod.

Congrats, the first mod is the correct gearing for the riding you plan to do.
Next would be the purchase of the correct main jet for the area you will spend the majority of your time at.
