Are you sure it wasnt the heavy snow tires that made it lose power? I used to run a set of 22-11-9 strykers on the back of my DS. I could rip through pretty much any depth of snow but when it came to racing or anything, it was a slug. The stryker tire alone weighed more than a razr on a rim....

I think that know his, I had razr 20-11-9 worse my 4snow its 22-11-9 on ITP alu. rims and i put new plugs and check the intake for leak, no leak detect
the adjustment for the wire after the handle gas was loose and the idle at cool was not the same

the trail is very ruff after the 10 cm off snow and slush was freeze after -15 and was another 20 cm is comming
was a park the bike for some time and take trail come better

A 22 inch tire is going to gear you up allot and cause noticable power loss.....even if the 4snow tire is light and on light rims you are going to have to gear down to a 15 tooth front sprocket. Take the top off the carb and make sure the needle is all together right...ive seen a couple come apart and they still run but have severe power loss. The colder it gets the more your jetting is going to change....it was -15 or so when i took mine out the other day and i had to rejet.
