Outlander 400 has ceased to run.
#1
I have an Outlander Max XT 400 that has ceased running. It has approximately 25 hours on it. The initial problem started with it running very rough and losing power. Then, in the same ride it would not rev at all. The ATV was being ridden by a young man and the ATV acted like it was vapor-locking. I towed it back to the barn and let it cool down. After a couple of hours, it started and rev'd great. The sputtering started about 5 minutes after the riding, again. Now, if I can get it started, it will barely idle with the choke (not at all without the choke).
I don't know if there is water in the carb. I have removed the body panels and am trying to figure out how to remove the bowl from the carb. I am having difficulty seeing how to get access to the carb. Does somebody have a copy of the service manual and be able to scan / e-mail me the relevant pages?
Is it an ignition issue? There is spark to the plug.
Is there something that I am overlooking?
These are great ATV's. I have 2 Outlanders for play and 1 Rubi that I use for utility work.
Thaks for your help.
