I reciectly bought a used ds from a dealer and after riding one day I brought it back because I lost my back breaks. The pad wasn't hitting right because they told me the bearings were shot or something. They could move the entire axel so they took the quad and had to replace the bearings and the whole axel. They didn't know why this happened so I was hoping someone could tell me why.

Sounds like the bearings seals failed and let water in or there was no grease in the bearings. Either one the bearings over heat and destroy the bearing housing.

I have some awful noise back there when I do hill climbing. I'm kinda wondering if this is the same deal. I visited a freind which is a dealer for bombardier and he had mentioned that there was a few bombardiers that came to him with no grease lubercation in the rear of the 4-wheeler. There's something wrong there!!!

I noticed my axle doesn't rotate as freely as I would expect. I am going to loosen it and add some lube, hopefully no damage is done.
