Whats up guys im new to the whole quad scene i just purchased a 2008 DS 70 for my son but the thing is pretty slow im looking to find out how i can maybe add some more power to this little machine i was told to switch out the throttle cable from a DS 70 to a DS 90 throttle cable.... any tips guys?????

 

ok i figured it out a little bit dissconnect the gray wire underneath the right side fender the one that goes to the CDI BOX then replace the throttle cable. And replace it with the DS 90 cable. gave it a it gave it some more horseys my kidz lovin it!!!!

 

Thats very intresting im not that up on the little guy's but if that works that is good info.My daughters just on the little 50's right now i just ported her intake and built her a pipel .Im thinking long travel is next.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

I would look at the pipe and see if its restricted at all. Sometimes the opening is pretty small on both ends. Second I would play with getting it more air and fuel. If they ride in alot of water keep the airbox but if not play with removing the lids and jetting a little fatter.

 

i looked into the throttle and when i gave it gas the throttle wasnt opening all the was thats why when i swapped out the throttle cable it opend up and gave it more power i just dont know where to look at on the exhaust for it to be restricted and tips?

 

I had a KFX 50 once and it had a fender type washer between the mid pipe and muffler. Removed it and it was a little better
