FX how is that thing? Overall power? How is it compared to a YFZ?

Sorry I wish I had input to give you... My suggestion is inspect your first oil change closely. The nice thing about atvs is usually they have a 6 month warranty.

ive only been on 1 yfz and that was 2 years ago.. the yfz seemed to have alittle more bottem end power but thats the only thing it has thats better than the DS.. i havent been on it to much i just got it yesturday but its real light and the steering is amazing.. the front end is alittle light it will wheelie pretty easy 1st thru 3rd but i can keep the front end down if i wanted.. it revs really fast, i have a feeling im going to go through tires like a banshee would...im pretty sure im going to like it as long as everything stays together on it..

Congrats on the new bike, TPR could answer the engine noise better than any of the rest of us since he's been around one.

I didn't hear what you are talking about. My suggestion is take it to the dealer and have them fire up another one (if they have one) for comparison. Now it may be fine, but without actually hearing yours, I can't make the call.

Always, if somthing doesn't sound right, take it to the dealer.

FXRider9382, the DS450 engine is noisy at idle just like the Cannondale was. It is normal. When you release the clutch slowly, you will also ear "iiiiiiiiiiii". Normal too. Dont worry. You just have to make the oil changes at the recommended time and you will have no troubles. NEVER FORGET THE FILTER WHEN YOU REPLACE OIL. NEVER!!! Proper oil pressure is very important on any 450.

Have a good ride!
