i have a 2001 ds650 with a white brothers r4 exhaust, jetted, barnet clutch kit, stock gearing,and a air filter. do u think i can beat or keep up with a stock 2007 raptor 700r?

In acceleration the 700r will take you.
Top end you will walk away from the 700r.

You need 3 mods to take a 700r in acceleration.
Big Gun CDI
Stock Carb Mods
15 tooth front sprocket

With this you will take the 700r in acceleration and top end still.

A ds will walk away from a 700r in about 4th gear and ceep walking away.

 

I don't like to assume, so how about you track down someone with a stock Raptor 700 & give us the details.

 

i know a guy with a raptor 700r but i cant race him until my foot is better cuz i just had surgery on thursday on it and cant walk till friday. i orderd a different rev limiter can you tell the diffenrce when you put them on?

 

The rev limiter is going to give you a 1000 moe RPM unless you went with Ron Woods CDI which will do away with the rev limiter all together.

 

Not only do they add the RPM's but you will notice a nice power gain over the Stock Rev limiter CDI.

I just put my big gun cdi on and defenitly a difference! revs so much quicker and longer now, works very well with the other mods I have. I just went ridin with a couple of my buddys and I can beat them all. they had 400ex with some cam work, a stock 05 banshee, and a suzuki 400. not that they are much competition but drag racing has a lot to do with weight and how good you can leave. now that I rev higher I can use 2nd longer and once I hit 3rd I'm gone! feels nice not eating rocks and dust anymore [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
