Default Axle washer/spacer help

Hey all,

Need a little help. Just got done replacing rear axle bearings. Now I have an extra washer I can not figure out where it goes.

It is a washer/spacer with concave edge on the outside edge and a ridge on the inside and one side is completely flat.

Any ideas would be appreciated

It's on an 2002 DS650 and it is big enough to fit over the axle.

I have searched. But could not find any help in past topics

This diagram might help ya out.

Sounds like you are talking about either 6 or 11 from that diagram.

Thought at first it was 6 but the wear ring is pressed on to the break hub( as I see it) and its not the oil seal(11).

Are you sure that you don't just have an extra outer race from the old bearings by any chance? Because if you can't find it from the diagrams that's all I can think of.

It is probably #20 on the schematic, it goes on before the hub, the concave part goes toward the axle and the flat should go on the hub. Hope this helps.

Not #20. It does fit over the axle. I guess it must be a washer that was just on the trailer floor. It will just go into the tool box with all my other extra parts that I can't figure out what to do with.

Thanks for all your help everyone.
