I'm from Montreal, Canada, and I need to know someting about the brake on your outlander. Sorry for my english, I will try to do my best.

Me and many other owner of outlander ATV have big problem with brake.


The problem is in winter, maybe on a minimum of 2 or 3 inch of snow after a couple ok milles, if you want to apply brake, notthing appen. I't like you want to apply brake in your car and the pedal go on the floor and no brake, nothing. Why, we don't know, BRP have no idea or don't want to have any idea about this big problem.

Now it seem to be only owner in Quebec Prov that have this problem.

If your are outside of Quebec, maybe in USA, I need to know if you have this problem.

It would have to be in the master cylinder. It sounds like the fluid is bypassing. Does it do it when you use the rear brake (foot pedal) or the hand brake.

 

You and many other owners of Outlander? Your's is the first I have read about in the last 3 years on most of the CanAm forums. In general there have been reports of brakes failing in winter due to snow and ice packing into the caliper, but this is for all quads, not just CanAm.
