im full of questions tonight, my front brakes are not working to good, i bleeded them, but when you put on the brakes going down hill i have to sqeeze as hard as i can, and the bike still keeps going, i noticed that the brakes feel spongee, do you think that my calipers need changing. 2003 ds650

I would start by checking the lines first. Do they seem a little worn out? Some times you have to bleed these brakes for a long time to get all the air out. Make sure all the air is out first and all the screws going to the calipers are tight. Then go from there.

It is possible. We have spent hours pumping up the brakes just so you know. And it sucks. Are you getting the pressure built up at all?

the pressure just stays the same, no matter how much i pump it up. i also noticed the other day i was coming down a steep dirt hill very slow, so i decided to lock up the front brakes just to see how they were working, and i noticed that the right front tire continued to role, the left tire locked up like it should.

Please don't use your front brakes when you are going down a hill. You could easily endo and really hurt yourself.

You can check your calipers but I would maybe get a better brake line also. If nothing else just incase. Bleeding takes less time but it is still a pain. I am guessing the pads are good?

It could be your master cylinder, happened to me. I replaced it with one from a Hayabusa and the difference is night & day even compared to stock when new.
