seen it before, most guys race so the lag time is the problem. sounds great for the desert racers.

I thought it was cool because I don't race, just ride the dunes and trails but some of the trails are pretty rutted up and that just kills me, for the dunes I could just upsize my paddles so I wouldn't have to regear. My downside is the cost to mod.

has anyone seen this in practice? or tried any size even close to this? i am thinking about upping the tire size on the DS and am not sure what size to go. this seems a little big to me but maybe a 24" tire might not be bad. i use 22's for the dunes but 20's for everything else. anyone have 2 cents to throw in?

I have run the Itp's 12" rim 23" tire with great suscess the rim being so big with 23" tires meant lighter weight because alum is lighter then rubber. The only reason i don't run them any more is they don't make that combo any longer. But if you can find any pic's of the big girl thats whats she always rolled on.

I really considered it, I was thinking 25's with 14/42. I just didn't have the budget.

The DIrt devil II comes in a 25x12x9 but that is alot of sidewall on the tire. I ended up going 22's they are supposed to be here tomorrow

AZSAND did you run stock size up front? i am thinking about this for ground clearance & the ride in the desert. so i was thinking the bigger up front as well, this combined with the precision stabilizer and work suspension would make it ride like a marshmallow. this may help on our 200+ mile rides.

Actualy kaylasdaddy the itps were the same size front and back and yes they rode like no other tires i have found.and Mrds650 i did not have fenders or heal guards but i can tell you the itps barely cleared the fenders and heal guards so i dought they wouuld on the 25" set.
