Have an 03 DS 650 Baja. Never had an electrical problem till the other day. Everything was fine then the quad just shut off. Found that the 25 Amp fuse on the righthand side under the seat keeps blowing. It looks like its an in-line fuse. Before I start tearing this apart and tracing wires does anyone know what this wire goes to and what might be loose? Is this a typical problem. Thanks!

Entomber- There is a fuse under the seat on either side of the airbox. Its the one on the right if your sitting on the machine. The manual refers to it as the "25 Amp Charging system fuse". The bike was fine before it blew and just stopped running. Everything electrical on the bike was dead. The tach even froze at 3500 RPM. I'll pm your with the ride info. Thanks for the help.

I had the same issue, every time I turned on my headlights it would blow the fuse. I took the tail light out and noticed that tail light bulb was missing. The metal bucket that the tail light bulb fits in has 2 wires that come out of it. The wires got hot, melted the outside coating off of the wires and then contacted in the tail light metal bucket. Which was causing them to mess up the circuit. I put a bulb in the metal bucked, and taped where the wires had melted their outside covering off. Fixed the problem. It might be your problem, but sounds like it will fix NickDS650 as well.
