**I NEED HELP**DS650 CLUTCH INFO PLEASE!!
So, my boyfriend has a 2000 ds650 that needs a new clutch (it slips badly)... I called my local BRP dealer and the woman on the phone had no idea where to begin either... she told me they don't sell kits, you have to buy each piece seperately. so i asked her if she could then price it out.. then told me there was no springs when i inquired, so i lost all patience with her. can someone PLEASE help me! this would be an awesome x-mas present!! like who to talk to, where i could find what i need, anything would be helpful.

Now that gentlemen, is the kind of woman we all need! Willing to pick up parts for our toys in a time of need. Can't beat that.
I would recommend that you find an online parts fiche, get the proper part numbers, then give Proshop Marine and Motorsports and Parker Yamaha a call and go with the low bidder. They both have the most competitive prices and great customer support. You won't get huhs and I don't knows from them. Let us know if we can be of more help.

what does everyone think about the barnett carbon fiber kit? ..and will i need a gasket as well?[IMG][/IMG]</end quote></div>
I would get the barnett for sure, that's what I run and it's been great! Go for it. And I would get the new gasket just in case. You don't want to be stuck needing that when your ready to put it back together.

no add ons really... but that was about the same price as everything else i found $230-$260... I also talked to Ron Wood people, they just sell the stock plates with heavier duty springs.
but will a new gasket be needed as well??</end quote></div>
Yes you will, I have never been able to get that gasket off without tearing it. And go with the Barnett, real good solid clutch that will take any mods that he decides to go with. I had one in my 2000 when I rebuilt it and it held up to 2 solid years of duning.
