Default Engine trouble?

About 6 months ago I changed the oil after a riding trip. Shortly after the battery died and I just got around to getting a new battery and got it started. After a minute or so of running I noticed smoke coming from where the head/tail pipe join up.

I think that she is mad at me for letting her sit idle for so long and playing with the Jeep too much.

No smoke was white. Exhaust leak, time for a valve adjustment?

its alwasy a good idea to do a valve adjustment! but you said the leak came from between the header pipe and exhaust "can" parts?

Yeah, it sounds to me like exhaust is just escaping at that joint. Nothing else would cause that type of joint to smoke unless there was some spilled oil or something there that's just burning off.

Sounds like a cold leak, does it go away once the bike has run a minute or two? My ALBA did that when it was cold, until the pipes warmed up.
