I bought a set of cams off one of the members here. I havn't got them yet but i'm thinking maybe they will be to lumpy for me. The specs are .435 lift and 288 duration on both intake and exhaust. I already got some input from Erbe(thanks again very helpfull) but i thought maybe some other people could chime in. You can see my mods so far in my sig, do you think these cams will be too lumpy? i do alot of trail riding so i want to retain my tourque in the low RPM. i was originally going to get some omw-3's but the price was just to good on these. Please let me know what you think, i dont have alot of experience with this.

There very close to the 109 Grind , just .010" more Lift, a very Torquey cam, but when used with a Big Bore wouldnt rev out, and as I sold them they would work better on a stock bore, I went with 590 grinds and it pulls better with teh Big Bore in Midrange, Last note McKay you can always send them to web for a another grind, heck they will grind any spec you want, even R/W/R and still be as Brandnew and cost cheaper also, I say try em first, if you dont like em, get them re ground.

Must be used with shim-under buckets, always check for coil bind and piston to valve clearance! If this is a stock engine these will hurt your performance.Good Luck

Its not stock, 11.5 piston and 48 mm carb, cdi and slip on exhaust. As long as the timing is on there should be no piston contact with the valves. Its a JE piston with the cut outs for the valves. If i somehow lost timing is it possible these valves could hit?

WEB says any lift over .425 use the shim unders, Woods say @ .435 you can get away with just H/D valve spings, there not High Rev Cams, But Boomer has build a few DS's also, ask THE BOM also.

If you haven't already got duel springs, you will have to have them to run anything over a .395 lift without getting into trouble.

Shim under's perform better, but aren't a must.

288 duration is a lot for a trail riding cam. I'm not saying you can't , it' just not as torquey. You can gear lower to help it out.

are heavy duty springs alright or do they have to be dual, and weres the best spot to get springs or where are they available. I've contacted OMW, RWR and webcams for them. theres also the kibblewhite ones on ebay, i've heard good things about kibblewhite.

The OMW,Web are kibblewhite. RW's uses one' form R&D spring. Most HD springs we run will be duel. Just make sure that who ever does the work checks valve to piston clearance . With stock valves there's usually not a problem.
