Wow you really had to reach for that one you must be very desperate to prove a point ,when what you should be reaching for is a brain. Reasons 1. The DS did not come out until 2000 so it could not compete in the baja 1000 of 1998. 2. If you are comparing the the top average speed of the baja 1000 of 1998 to the baja 2000 of 2001 the 2 cannot be compared because of the 700 and some odd miles of different terrain. 3. The 400EX and everything else for that matter did compete in the baja 2001 and th DS650 won the race ,along with eveything else it competes in it seems . If you insist on arguing a losing point get some help ,maybe someone like your mommie or daddy

 

Hey there Brain surgens the DS had the ron woods kits the kid said 1 - 3 dont know exactly what that consist of . You may not care for the accessories that I have added to my machine but the RAPTOR, unlike that boat anchor you guys call a quad dosent need much for mods. Plus my machine is only a few months old i like to break it in and not destroy the machine like an idiot.

No one here said that shockwears, light guards or bumpers make a machine faster I just prefer the look of these items.

Just because you boys cant take the truth im not going to change my story. By the way the kid i raced is selling that boat anchor and getting a RAPTOR. Must have seen the light, OR gt stuck in another trail who knows!

 

Maybe you need to take a few of your mods off to lighten up the weight of that boat anchor. Maybe then you can keep up im sure your nerfbard and other mods must make oyu really fast. You should add some racing stripes you could probably gain 15hp you chump

 

Hey rraptorr13, guess what. I was on the Yamaha site, reading the raptor specs and they have an asterisk over the engine figures.
Down on the page they say that due to incredibly advanced techniques the raptor engine becomes a twin cylinder with 80HP, only - and they emphasize this - when Mr. Rraptorr13, from Bristol CT, who also has a front bumper and shockwears, rides the machine. So that explains it. I knew you were good.

The DS650 has been out for 2 years and won how many races??? 2 or 3 . WOW When the Raptor has been out for two years , we'll compare each other's track records.

In my unwanted opinion, both quads have something to offer. It just depends what you're looking for.

 

My fault, I must be a moron. A DS with any Woods kit makes them slower. Yeah, anyways was this kid able to reach the shifter? That's why my relatively stock DS can beat Raptors and Banshees. Stock accept all the extra weight I put on the boat anchor. That must have burnt up a lot of cells thinking that one up!!! LOL

 

yes, thats ok everyone, i have attempted to bring you all out of denial, but i guess you are all beyond reach and i can not make you see the folly of your choice to stick with the ds. its okay, your ds is not a bad machine, but apparently your ego is so high that you must spend that much more money for a machine thats not any better. ...and i still cant get over those front fenders, please tell me that some of you have at least taken them off.
