I was wondering if anyone knows the top speed of the Baja winning quad? Someone said 100mph but could that be true if it's almost stock? I rode my friends & if I had to pick the perfect quad for the Baja race, the DS would be it. It was the most plush ride I've ever experienced anywhere. Very nice ride. Plus you dont have to spend big bucks to make it go fast.

i'm pretty sure the raptor had a HUGE lead through 90% of the race. only when the raptor broke its tranny did the DS pass it. If you think the raptor is a weak machine because of the failure, do you think this machine was designed to race damn near 2,000 miles right out of the factory? the DS is heavy and slow compared to the raptor and will never beat it stock even though it has noticably more HP. so i am tired of hearing all this crap about how good the DS is!

hodagye you don't have a clue, i have a ds and a raptor and my ds kills it on the mx track or just about anywhere, well ok the raptor doesn't take up as much room in the garage its got the ds there.

DS650 woods stage1 kit and clutch springs, alba gripper seat and graphics, renthals, graydon nerfs and bumper, turf tamers in the rear, and a hydraulic clutch is on the way.

 

If the DS is so heavy and slow, then why did it win? Do you ever think about what you write hondaboye?
