2002 650ds baja cooling fan

Default 2002 650ds baja cooling fan

I find my fan always on even after just a little ride is this normal for this maching, or do i might have a thermostate proplem

It's sounds like a problem. My friends 03 runs very little. My 2000 is wired direct so I let it run constantly.

you might have a jetting problem, if too lean it'll run super hot even after a small ride, ride at night and see if your headers glow cherry red, the DS motors do run hot, i always run engine ice for the radiator and good synthetic oil

Ok thanks, I'll check that out i hope it's not a big deal.
Where do you buy the engine ice for the rad?

I buy Coolanol, you can get it online for like $20 a half gallon.

Coolanol is good for winter. Cool-Aide is good for summer and they're both available at Rocky Mountain ATV. ATV Parts, ATV Tires, Dirt Bike Parts & Motocross Gear | Rocky Mountain ATV/MC

As Nick said - check your jetting. The fan should not run that often. As well it really helps to throw in a tempature gauge. I bought one ESR that goes in the top hose. Nice clean piece and now I can see how hot it runs.
