Default Help buying

Hello, I'm new to forum and ATV ownership. I am looking at 2004 CanAm Traxter MAX. Couple questions; how is the power on a 500? Why did BRP do away with step through seating? Is shaft drive the way to go? Finally is $4100.00 a decent price for this 2100 miles, never wrecked?

Default Seems high to me

In my area (Central Virginia) that's pretty high. I don't know about the pass thru, but someone posted on here the horse power should be around 29HP. IMO a lot can happen to an ATV in 2100 miles. I would keep an eye out for a better deal.

Also consider how you intend to use it. There is a huge difference between the old Traxters and the newer Outlanders. The Traxters being pure work machines and the outy's being rockets.

The step through seat was great for people doing chores who had to get on and off there machines many times, not so good for longer trail riding,on rought trails where you use your knees to help stay on.

Thanks for your help. I liked the 2 up seating and the pass through instead of over the seat. Just a little lazy on my part!

Never thought of holding on with your knees, just like a sled.
