Has anyone had this problem? a friend flipped his DS650 onto its right side. We righted it but his oil light came on. We pulled the filter and had to bleed his oil system out in the dunes, as it was definately not pumping oil. His bike is a 2000 model, I read that 2001s have a vent added to the oil system. I have also read these posts concerning bikes that ruined due to lack of oil.

I have a 2000 as well, built in April, had it upside down at the dunes a couple of weeks ago and didn't have that problem when I started it back up. I will watch for it though. The only time I have had to bleed the thing was when changing the oil.

I think the main problem was that his bike kept running while it was on its side and sucked air into the pump. I'll look for you at Florence, I drive a Blue Dodge extra cab and my DS has a little pirate flag on the front. I run 21 inch S.T.U. 9 paddles and they seem fine. I was running 20 inch 10 paddle edges and kept digging holes.

Hey Brad, better pack your new muffler really good cause the stormtroopers were out ticketing heavily last weekend. Have you ever ridden at Christmas valley? Dunes and desert, kinda neat. See ya at Florence no doubt.
