Guys i need your help. This weekend in the races I tipped over my DS on a real tight turn and ever since then my brake light won't turn off. I can't figure it out. I did however adjust the rear brake pedal to sit higher since I added the nerf bars. I will adjust the lever back to it's normal position but I don't think that's it. I would have to think that it has something to do with the switch. Any help with this would be greatful. Newdsowner.

Well one of two things is going on. Either you've got the brake engaging slightly all the time or you've got a short someplace. Check for power in the wires leading from your brake light until you come across the point at which there is no longer power. Between these points is you problem wether it be a switch staying on or a short to power.

If it is still under warranty let the dealer do the repairs.

Might not be a good idea to let the dealer touch the bike from what i've seen so far these guys do more harm than good . And arranty is not going to cover him rollong his bike and putting aftermaket parts right where the brake pedal should be come on think guys

How could the nerfs possibly affect the brake pedal?I have same nerfs, when installed properly these do not hinder the action of pedal at all and I did not have to make ANY changes to pedal, adjustments were not needed...at least for my machine.......guess it was his preference.

Have you checked the front brake switch? It is mounted right at the front brake lever, and according to the shop manual is not adjustable. It is just a little switch with two wires connected to it. This switch and the rear brake switch both work the brake light.
