My 2000 DS has a bad contact going to one of the fuses under the seat. It will act like it has a very low battery and won't start but the fuse will be O.K. I found I could pull the wire going to the fuse (spring loaded?) and release and it's back to normal. I'm too lazy to cut the wires and solder in a new fuse holder. I just have to bring this up on the off chance you have something similar. I've forgotten about the problem plenty of times over the years and been sure my battery or charging system was cooked.
