Reverse Rev limiter on Quest 650 bypass?

Reverse Rev limiter on Quest 650 bypass?
First question. Is there a reverse rev limiter on a 2003 Quest 650. I suspect there is because I got stuck in the snow last night and in reverse the machine kept cutting out. Now is there a way to bypass this?
