Default Handlebar risers

Hey guys. I've heard stories of people putting handlebar risers on their DS650 and having problems with the bars hitting the gas tank. Just curious if that was still a problem for any of you.

I made a set that raised mine 2" and clears everything just fine. I don't know if it has to do with swapping the bars to 1 1/8" or not. i kept my stock bars.

I'm 6'5", and raising my handlebars was the best decision I could have made. ha. Major difference.

I have risers for 1 1/8 bars and they hit my IMS tank. Not a big deal though. The risers in combination with Raptor 700 bend bars make things real roomy

I had to get 1.6" risers for my Protaper SE bars to clear the tank completely.
Now it's a little higher and the seating position feels a bit more controlled.
It was close but wasn't comfortable with even and inch of restriction. Especially, with no reverse!

I raised my pro taper SEs an inch on my 05, and they just barely clear the tank.

Yea. Sounds like it's just with aftermarket bars.
