I ran out to the dunes today and after a hour or so of riding the bike started to cut out a little then progessively got worse. I just replaced the diaphram in the carb awhile back and its running kind of like it was when that happened. I have checked the carb, jets, float, etc.. Also checked the diaphram again. One thing i wandered was the battery. It has been running down lately so its been on a maintaner for the last few weeks off and on. It carries good voltage while running but i noticed after i let it idle for a while the fan kicked on so i shut it off and kept an eye on the voltage and it seemed like it was dropping faster than it should have. So i am wondering if the battery is just to weak to produce a good spark at higher rpms when under a load. It doesnt do it when reving only when riding putting a load on the system.. Could this be it??? Thanks for the input.
