Just brought 2010 DS 250 home for my girlfriend today. Took it for a ride, it was a bit sluggish but it is new. Then I start reading on here how this quad is just slow and that BRP missed the mark on this one. I sure do hope they made some adjustments for this year.

The internet is a great tool. Prevents buyers remorse almost 100% of the time. Always conduct your research before you strike the deal.

These have been around since 2006 and are actually quit a good machine. You needed to do some more reading on other dedicated Can Am forums, as well, then you'd have discovered that the 2010 is slow for a reason as this year it's been rated as a "T Class" for Youth because it now comes from the factory with a removable spacer on top of the throttle slide in the carb that limits the actual throttle available to about less then 3/4... So what do you think that does for performance? Removing that alone gains you almost 1/2 the power...

For the next level, there is also a performance clutch kit available from FPP (Full Power Performance) for that DS250 CVT, 2006 to 2010, that really wakes the machine up from it's stock unintimidating "docile for beginners" state of tune. Do a Google search under DS250 Performance Clutch Kit, or DS250 Racing, or search those dedicated Can Am forums.
