Default Halo please Check engine light comes on - should I be worried?

Meant to write help please in the title but autocorrect thought otherwise...

I have a 2007 outlander 650 that we recently bought used in immaculate condition. Had 170 miles on it and we have put it over 250 now. I plan to change the engine oil, diff oil, and coolant in the coming week. I am holding off on the gearbox oil for now. Twice now, both when stuck in thick swamp, the check engine light has came on. The first time I didn't see what was being displayed because I didn't know it displayed anything. The second time however, after reading the manual, I knew to look and rather than saying bi temp like I thought it probably would it just said check engine. I shut it off for a few minutes, fired it back up, the light was gone and it ran fine? Any ideas on what is going on? Worth taking in? I checked the p codes and it said active p code speed end, which idk what that means. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
