carb question

Default carb question

i have a 650 and i want to switch the stock 38 mm carb out for a 44 off my old skidoo snomibile any one now it it will work and if ill have to rejet it

If you do that you are going to have to have your intake ported..

Stock carb is a 42mm and if setup right can make pretty good horsepower. Proven carb upgrads on the DS are the TM48 and Lectron 46/48's from OMW.

ok see what i have is a quest 4x4 motor i dont think its 44 and can i use the one out of my snowmobile thats a 44

tyhe snowmobile carb is gonna need to be tuned to work on your quest.Besides rejetting the slide is gonna need changed,most sleds use a slide with less "cut out" than motorcycle/atv engines.I have known people to retrofit sled carbs though no biggie.Why do you want a bigger carb for your utility?you wont necessarily get more performance if it doesnt complement rest of the set up.Bigger isnt always better...
