This weekend I watched the a DS finish way ahead of couple raptors in 3 motos at the motocross tracks.One rider tipped,rolled his in a sharp off camber turn.The raptors were all having problems with turns& two wheeling.

 

hOW DO YOU FIGURE THE DS HAS MORE HOP UP POTENTIAL

 

The Ds650's engin is rotax and has been raced in Major dual sport racing for many years..it has won many events and championships. The engin hp coudl easly be doubled in the rotax engin. Its just a goodd all around engin. Magazines even said so

 

Only thing great about it is ho it brakes down and tips over all th time

 

Chris..I think he's saying that there are more aftermarket mods for the DS at this time. You saw how that one guy on the Raptor with just a pipe beat the bjezzus out of us. I don't think its unrealistic to say that with a cam, port, pipe and a high compression piston and a few handling mods, the Raptor would still run with a highly modded DS.

 

more parts out for the ds? hahahah, all the ds has is RON WOODS, give me a break

 

Yeah, I just talked to a guy today who said that the reason there's more stuff for the Raptor is because Yamaha produced about 20,000 Raptors and Bombardier only produced about 5,000 DS's. So where would you put all your R&D into?
