They don't make their own motor.....so what! What does that have to do anything?

Knutz, I'll find out more of the details later but here's what I heard last night. A friend of mine who rides a Banshee told me that he saw before his very eyes a DS fold it's front right side a-arms. He said the guy went off a jump a little off kilter and the quad bounced up and came down and when they checked it out, both top and bottom a-arms were completely buckled. He said the right wheel was about 3-4 inches behind the left side. See, it happens to all of them. I'll try and get some pics if you want.

You are right, it can happen to any quad. But I myself have seen 3 Raptors with bent frames. I'd rather see my A-arms fold than my frame bend. By the way, these 3 were not the same 3 that the test rider told me that he bent. Bombadier used the extra wieght they built into the DS to make it more solid and reliable, in my opinion.

bartman, next time you see a ds just look at the difference in the a-arms.the ds's are monsters compared to the tooth picks they put on your craptor.

Killerb..Size doesnt always matter.. Or at least that what your women say to make u feel better. Just b/ they are smaller doenst meen they arent *** good. They are as good on my Raptor, no problem at all. Both machines are awesome though bottomline

Well the DS dose have a better suspension stock.
But the Raptor has no bumpsteer, due to better frame geometry.

DS has a higher peak H.P., but the Raptor has a
much wider spread, if you take all points between
2000 & 7750 R.P.M. the Raptor is ahead in most areas.

ATVSport dose not post consistant results, the Raptor graphs from the original tests read different, and in the article it is said and I
quote "the Raptor dose not feel as string as the DS in 1st gear and the numbers back that up, but once its out of 1st gear room the Raptor feels stronger and its numbers are better from there on up" that mag has gone so far downhill in the last year only divine intervention could salvage it, and with Hanson thinking he is God that won't happen.

Other Mags DS took top speed in DW, 4-wheel ATV had them tied, Raptor won drags in both.

People always like to quote DW saying how in deep sand the DS won the drags, yet they seem to forget the picture of a Raptor leading the DS up a hill and comments like "the Raptor usually nips the DD in the bud on upill drags", steep uphills are just as much if not more a power robbing factor.

I can also quote the 4-wheel ATV shootout between
the 400EX and the Raptor where on a "tighter than normal" MX track the riders were able to click off faster lap times on the Raptor.

One could quote 2000 Baja and Roof of Africa, but I could counter with what happend at the 99 Baja(YES, the DS was out in time for that) and still for overall top 7 finishes the Raptor still holds an edge, lets not forget the races so far this Year where the Raptor is making an impact.

My only quote, if I lived out west in wide open areas I would buy the DS(and no the Motor is not the reason, I feel the Raptors is better but not by much), but seeing as how I live in the Northwoods of MN.

I choose the Raptor.
