Default Does DS650 stock 42mm carb float needle have a spring?

Just like the topic says, does the stock carb for the DS 650 (Mikuni 42mm) have a spring on the float needle?

I tried doing the ORM carb tuning stuff, but the float height seemed really out of whack. I do NOT have a spring on the float needle, and I think that my be why I'm having such a hard time getting the float height correct.

I believe it has a needle valve that is rubber, atleast on the 03 and older models. I don't recall a spring on the float assembly but I could be mistaken. I have done an assload of the OMR mods and the only spring I've dealt with is the one on top of the slide.

I've seen needles with springs and without on other carbs I've rebuilt, but since this bike is new to me, I just assumed it did not come with a spring between the needle and the float. The float was so far off the OMR tune that it got me thinking something was missing...
