Here's a link to DirtTrax's review of the Outty 1000. Now I can't say I "need" one. Dirt Trax Television // Video Portal

I'll bet that Lester guy didn't "need" one either but I'll bet he has one all the same!

Judging by the fact that he showed more emotion in this show than all his previous shows combined, I'd say that is a safe bet. But you could still find more personality in any county morgue than what ol' Lester has!

I thought that was a pretty decent review. I agree with almost all of what they said. They made too much out of the need vs want part though.

Yeah, the guy doesn't show a lot of emotion. He really liked this machine on that scale.

I thought that was pretty weird how he kept harping on the need and want issue. That's why I threw the "need" comment in. I do agree that there are few occasions when you need more than a 500cc in a utility quad. I'm still amazed at what our 500s can do. I am still debating moving up to either a Polaris 850 X2 or a Can-Am Outlander Max 650. There have been only a couple instances where the 500 wouldn't keep accelerating. One was on a long open steep hill. Hit 30 and it wouldn't accelerate anymore. (could have something to do with the drivers weight) Other was riding in the snow where you need more top end to make up for the loss of traction on open areas where you can pin it. That extra horsepower would come in nicely but I know I don't need a 1000. Still.........

wow- my pulse climbed to 120 watching that!

very nice features & upgrades on the 2012 outty
The new tubular spar frame should ease some worrisome minds in regards to the old square channel spar.
the suspension looks beefy as hell also.

I really admire how can-am (and polaris) is redefining off road utility atv'ing and are pushing the limits every year. Look how far can-am & polaris atv's have come in just 6 years- it's amazing.
The other 5 atv giants gotta stay sharp if they are gonna keep up- BNG ain't gonna cut it when lined up against features currently found on polaris or can-am atv's!

thanks for the vid, moose

Was over on Can-Am Talk and saw it. I've seen a couple reviews but that one was pretty comprehensive. Nice machine.
