DS650 DIY rear shock rebuild
Like the title says, I'm looking to rebuild the rear shock on my 2000 DS650 myself. It still has nitrogen pressure, and just recently started leaking fluid. I don't want to wait too long and possibly trash the valving.
I have seen a rear shock kit from Race Tech on RockyMountain ATV for $10, but it looks like it does not have the dust shield.
Anybody know where to get a complete kit w/ dust seal?
How much and what weight shock oil to use?
any other advice (besides take it/send it to a professional)
Thanks

Nope, we used to send them to Todd at TCS. He is now at Race Tech. Probably the best in the business when it comes to setting up and rebuilding the rear DS shock. Tell him how big a boy you are, how and where you ride, and it comes back ready to go.
They do have all of the parts that you need as you found out, and it's really not "too" expensive to have them do the work.
