Welcome to the forums.

Easiest place to start is the plug itself and the plug wire. Are you getting any power at all? The on/off switch kinda confuses me. If it's not working, then that may be your problem. Also fairly easy to check as well.

how do i eliminate the run/stop switch as the problem , it also has a safty brake i guess a kind of nuetral safy switch the brake has to be engaged for the electric start to work and the engine turns over fine so i assume that the switch and safty brake are working fine

testing spark is hard to do in general. I had a the four stroke ds90 and it was a piece of crap. Never had any power so from the time I bought in new, to when I sold in last month, the tires still looked brand new. I don't know if your two stroke is the same way. I suggest you find a manual for the quad, they usually have wiring diagrams that can help you out.

I would think you could test the switch with an ohm meter.

I know there's a few more people here that have a whole lot more experience with the electrical systems than I do.
